Financing
Explore a sample monthly payment
Explore the effect of project cost and loan term on an illustrative monthly payment. This is not a finance offer. Confirm actual interest, fees, eligibility, and repayment terms with a lender.
What financing changes
Understand the total cost of borrowing.
It changes
- When the job happens. Peeling paint is prep that gets more expensive every season it waits; a monthly number can mean this spring instead of next.
- Whether the trim and the doors ride along with the body, which is cheaper as one trip than as two.
- Nothing about the estimate. The price is the price; the term is how it is paid.
It does not
- Change the prep. Two coats, primer on bare wood, and caulk that cures overnight are in the job at any payment.
- Skip the walk. The estimate comes from the house, not from the calculator.
- Come from us. We are painters; the lender is a lender. This page shows the shape of a payment so you know what to ask them.
When to just wait for fall
Choose a budget and timing you are comfortable with.
- The paint is faded but sound: no chalk on your hand, nothing lifting, no bare wood. Waiting for fall costs you nothing but a few months of a colour you are tired of.
- The fall window is cooler and drier where we are, and the calendar has room in it. Same price, shorter wait.
- What does not wait: bare wood, peeling at the fascia, a chalky south wall, or a deck gone gray. Each season those sit adds prep to the number.
