Doors, trim, and specialty finishes
Give the details that frame your home the same attention as its largest surfaces.

What it includes
Every time, without asking
- Define the doors, trim, or specialty surfaces to include
- Inspect wear, moisture exposure, and existing coatings
- Review repair requirements and finish options
- Coordinate the work with nearby surfaces and hardware
What it does not
So the estimate is the invoice
- Work outside the agreed written scope is priced separately.
- Specialist investigation, concealed repairs, and related finish work must be identified before they are included.
How it is priced
Project size, preparation, surface condition, access, and selected coatings determine the estimate. These example ranges are for demonstration only.
Ranges for a conversation. The written estimate after the walk is the number, and the invoice is that number unless you sign a change.
- A deck, about 300 sq ft, wash and stain$1,100 to $2,400
- A fence, 150 linear feet, one side$1,200 to $2,800
- A two-car garage floor, epoxy with flake$2,200 to $4,500
- A single exterior door, off the hinges$350 to $800
What you decide
Your calls, with our push
- Define the doors, trim, or specialty surfaces to include
- Inspect wear, moisture exposure, and existing coatings
- Review repair requirements and finish options
What to expect
While we are there
- Review the work areas, access needs, and likely disruption before scheduling.
- Confirm material availability and any inspections that affect the sequence.
- Agree how progress, questions, and changes will be communicated.
- Review completed work against the scope and retain the relevant care information.
Questions we get
The ones people ask on the walk.
Is a smaller painting project worth a separate estimate?
Yes. A front door, trim package, or focused touch-up has its own preparation and access requirements. A separate scope makes the price and expected result easier to evaluate.
How is doors, trim, and specialty finishes priced?
The estimate depends on the project size, existing conditions, access, materials, and work included. Any figures shown here are demonstration planning examples, not a contractor quote.
What happens if the scope changes?
The proposed change should explain the additional or omitted work, price, and schedule effect so it can be reviewed before proceeding.
